Just found this post on the Vernon Snowmobile Club site:
It’s Snow Show time again!
Vernon Recreation Complex, Auditorium, Vernon, BC
on Friday, November 12, 2010.
Cost to get in is only $2.00
Banner’s annual movie night is at the Performance Arts Centre again this year. Nov. 9th 7pm. Showing Slednecks 13, tickets are $20 each, with door prizes again.
See you there!
How is everyone set for safety gear? Â IE: Beacon, Shovel & Probe. Â I’m looking to order some stuff soon, and if anyone needs anything let me know and we can work on a group buy for a discount.
Must have items:
Beacon: BCA Tracker or Tracker2, Pieps DSP, Ortovox D3 (any of the old beacons just wont do, like the old SOS N1FD or whatever)
Probes
Metal shovel (plastic sucks as they break way too easy)
2 way radios (preferrably the 45km or 53km models – here in the mountains they work at best 4 – 5 kms apart.)
Got more suggestions for required core gear? Let me know so that I can get it posted here.
Just heard, Silver Star got it’s first dusting of snow for the year. Obviously it will melt pretty quick, but it’s a sign that winter is just around the corner.
