Went out for our first ride today to Park mountain. Overall it was a good day and obviously awesome to get on the sleds again, however the mountains definately needs a lot more snow! We chose to go up to the cabin then head to top towards the radio tower. Although we could have made it the whole way, we found far too many hidden land-mines that started to become quite irritating. I would have to guess aprox. 2.5 to 3′ of snow. Based on today I would say the season is upon us!
Here’s a few pics.
Although it’s early, we had a few people out today and reported that there was definately enough snow to play around a bit. Looks like the season can begin!
The snow is flying! Check out the web cams up at Silver Star, the ground is covering up nicely. If this keeps up over the next couple of weeks I would think we could plan a first test ride day! Anyone game?
Summer is over, and the snow is starting to appear in the mountains. Silver Star has a light dusting covering it right now, so it’s definately on the way. In previous years we have been able to get out for a first ride near the middle of November, not sure if it’ll happen this year but we can all hope.
I will be updating the site here soon to try and fill it out. This year I am hoping to get lots of photos and videos posted up. We had a couple of people (will remain un-named for Brad and Jason’s sake), who took a lot of video last year but seemed to busy to send it on over. Nudge! Nudge!
What a great day. Fresh snow everywhere and some sunny points through out the day as well. Sure wish I got out more this spring, but there is still a few more good weekends left to go before all the snow starts melting away.
Sundays riders were: Rob, Kurt, Brad, Jason, Jarrod, Brendon & Jessie
