Well, after 2 months of sitting around doing nothing while my shoulder recovered from surgery it is now time to start putting the pieces back together. There is still a lot to do, but I figure with about 3 months to work with here I should be able to pull it off in time for the first ride hopefully in mid-November.

Update: Prior to June 2 (surgery day) I was able to get the front e-module and s-module installed and the motor sitting in place. Last week we got the drive axle assembly back in place with the help of a pair of functional hands from a friend. This was a difficult thing to re-install without dropping the complete suspension out. The front a-arms and shocks are installed and the brake caliper is back on, next on the list is the secondary clutch and jackshaft, followed by the gears.

As for the SnowRide site, I sure would like to get this thing rolling better for this upcoming season. It worked quite well last year to coordinate ride days, and if everyone helps by participating in posts and supplies suggestions & pictures for the site it should be good!

Finally got to ride again

Thanks to John A. and his donor sled, I was able to get up for a ride at Hunters for the last time this season.  It’s been over 3 months since I rode last and had the painful accident, so it was sure nice to play in the snow again.  The 02 Summit worked well after a quick clutch adjustment.

We parked at about the 9km mark on Ashton to unload.  The trail up/down was total crap as usual, but once up at the top there was actually a lot of untouched areas with about 6″ of fresh snow.  We had sun in the morning, cloud and wind at noon, followed by sun in the afternoon again.  All in all, was a great day out.

Took a few pictures which I’ll get online later.  Also, i put up a couple of vids of us playing in one of the meadows just before the main cabin.

Send over some recent pictures of your ride days.  Sure wish everyone would make use of the SnowRide website. Oh well, next season I’ll get it going for all of us again.
